By Edouard-Pierre Blin. 70x42mm. Engraved to: M[ada]me Souillart. Obverse: The Nike of Samothrace; Reverse: Female figure seated left on base, resting chin upon hand and gazing toward Greco-Roman colonnaded structure in the background. Pleasing brown surfaces, with a few light marks and scattered spots.
With a delightful Art Nouveau feel, these plaques were engraved and awarded to survivors of the war effort who had endured some form of injury or loss.
