Kienast-157. 58mm. By Karl Goetz. Obverse: Pope Benedict seated right on throne, looking toward Europa (represented by Death) riding a bull into the Gates of Hell; Reverse: Pope Benedict in fishing boat right, hauling in net filled with Marianne (personification of France) and receiving satchel of money from Scottish sailor to right. Rich reddish-brown surfaces, with a few areas of darker hues.

This type alludes to the solicitation of Pope Benedict XV to support the war efforts of the entente powers against Germany.
