A splendid Near Gem, this steel gray specimen offers delightful hints of cobalt and burgundy throughout. Tied with just one other example as the only for the type in the PCGS census.

The schooner ship Niobe was a training ship that entered service in 1923, though her time was short-lived, as she capsized and sank rather quickly during a white squall in 1932 near the island of Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea.
