MACEDON, Mende. Circa 510-480 BC. Fourrée Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.49 g). Ass standing right; in background, long vine with grape bunch and two leaves / Quadripartite incuse square of mill-sail form. Cf. Noe, Mende 19; cf. HGC 3, 543; SNG Lockett 1339 (this coin). Old cabinet tone, plating broken in spots, exposing core. Good VF. Very rare.
