Helmeted head of Athena left, helmet decorated with sphinx; monogram behind neck guard / Lion standing left, devouring prey, on tablet inscribed with ethnic; Φ between legs. Williams Period VI, 330 (O173/R244++); HN Italy 1294; SNG Ashmolean 1270 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 525 (same dies). Lightly toned, traces of iridescence. Good VF. Well centered. Rare issue with tablet.
