MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. EL Stater (17mm, 15.97 g). Janiform head of nymph, wearing stephanos, left and satyr right; below, tunny right / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Von Fritze I 76 (hekte); cf. Boston MFA 1426 = Warren 1466 (hekte); SNG BN –; Roma XIV, lot 202. Triple struck on obverse. Fine. Extremely rare, apparently the second known stater for this issue.
