SICILY, Himera. Circa 455-440 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 17.14 g, 5h). The nymph Himera, holding kentron and reins, driving slow quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning her with wreath / Himera standing facing, head left, holding patera over altar to left; to right, satyr bathing in fountain with lion-headed spout; wheel with four spokes to upper right. Arnold-Biucchi, Monetazione, Group II, 14 (Q3/H11); Gutmann & Schwabacher 9; HGC 2, 435; Rizzo pl. XX1, 11 (same dies). Toned, cleaning scratches, areas of slight porosity, a little off center on obverse. VF. Very rare.
