Moneyer issues of Imperatorial Rome. L. Plautius Plancus. 47 BC. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.77 g, 3h). Rome mint. Facing mask of Medusa with disheveled hair / Victory (or winged Aurora) flying right, head slightly left, holding reins and conducting four rearing horses of the sun. Crawford 453/1e; CRI 29a; Sydenham 959b; Plautia 15c; RBW 1587 for obverse. Toned, some minor die rust. EF. Very rare with this obverse legend.
