Struck 318-316 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monograms in left field and below throne. SC Ad40.1 corr. (left field monogram); Price P166 corr. Interestingly, the correct reading of the monograms on the BM coins that Price cataloged is the same as PO(1) 404, which Price said he could not confirm. All of the coins in Pella for P166 have the same monograms as here, except for two in the ANS collection (1944.100.34958 and 1944.100.34959), which are either an unrecognized variety or barbarous imitations.
