PHRYGIA, Peltae. Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ (31.5mm, 18.71 g, 6h). Laureate head right / Emperor, holding spear, on horseback advancing right. RPC VI Online 5643; BMC 30. Dark green patina with thick earthen highlights/deposits, bare metal on the high points, a few light scratches. VF. Very rare, RPC Online cites only the BM specimen, and only one in CoinArchives (all from the same dies).
