According to the SCWC this date for this denomination has the second lowest mintage of 290,000 pieces behind the 1940 issue struck in Zinc and of a different design and a mintage of 150,000 pieces. A nicely preserved SCARCE one-year type displaying smooth milk chocolate surfaces with minor debris and attractive mocha patina amongst the devices. A wholesome survivor with good eye appeal.
