36 mm. Medals of the Rattanakosin Era-pg. 48-51. Medal engraved by W.E.J. Gand (obverse) & W. Kullrich F. (reverse). Struck to commemorate the River-Bathing ceremony of H.R.H. Prince Maha Vajirunhis. Obverse: Half-length portrait of Prince Maha Vajirunhis facing slightly left, three lines of inscription around; Reverse: Square Spired Shrine on a pontoon, legend around. A beautifully preserved intricate high relief medal with a lovely rich smooth mottled milk chocolate and mocha patina. An excellent representative of the type sure to see spirited bidding from the connoisseur of Thai numismatics.
