CHINA. Southern Song Dynasty. Silver 12-1/2 Tael Ingot, ND. Graded "Genuine" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
cf. Guo Yuhua-19; HP Chen-unlisted; cf. Zhejiang Provincial Museum-pg. 63 (without inscription); cf. Pictoral Yuanbao-18. Weight: 348 gms. RARE. Evidence of stamps following the contour of the ingot, but no definition of the characters make it up readable. Signs of crystallization of metal as would be expected from an artifact of the age. Light surface corrosion indicative of burial or other salvage. Despite its shortcomings an attractive example with nice mottled patina.
Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
