CHINA. Yunnan Sanchuo Jieding. Provincial Three Stamp Remittance Ingots. Silver 5.75 Tael Bank Ingot, ND. VERY FINE.
BMC-Class LXVI Group I # 953. Weight: 209.01 gms. "Fu Xing Qing Hui Hao Wen Yin" (Funxingqing bank, remittance bank fine silver). "Guan Gong Gu She Kan" (Inspected by official public assayer She). "Fu Xing" (Fuxing[qing] bank) added to rim and central stamp, an additional stamp "_Ji"? (possibly Yuanji[xiang] bank) somewhat obscured has been added to the central stamp. The outer and central stamps are deeply impressed, though somewhat muddled from being struck multiple times. The Assayers stamps and added bank stamp on the rim are bold and clear making identification easy while the additional stamps on the face of the central stamp are obscured. A handsome example of the type with lots of character, minor earthen deposits are noted amongst the devices coupled with rich medium grey patina adding to its originality.
