L&M-45; K-639; KM-Y-321; WS-0090. Li Yuan Hung without hat type. A gorgeous Dollar that possesses a needle-sharp strike, soft, satiny full luster and an overlying blanket of original tone that is mostly tan in hue, but contains instances of warm orange color around portions of the outer legends. Beneath the tone, very little evidence of past handling is seen, which helps to confirm the lofty grade. Unquestionably RARE in this impressive quality, with only one other like it at NGC and 3 graded MS-66 at PCGS. With none graded finer at either service, it's not a stretch to consider this piece at the peak of quality for its kind, and as such, it will almost certainly attract strong bidder attention.
