CHINA. Kiangnan. 1 Mace 4.4 Candareens (20 Cents), CD (1898). PCGS MS-61 Gold Shield.
L&M-220; K-72a; KM-Y-143a.1; WS-0802. Small letters, no circle around dragon. Lustrous and flashy with lots or character, the obverse exhibits a long thin crack from the top of the first 4 of "4.4" in a clockwise upward arc following the natural curvature of the dragon veering into the legend where it pierces the base of the "P" terminating just below the midpoint of the "R" of "PROVINCE." A lovely example with neat diagnostics sure to pique the interest of the specialist.
Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
