CHINA. Kiangnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1904). PCGS Genuine--Graffiti, EF Details Gold Shield.
L&M-259; K-103; KM-Y-145a.15; WS-unlisted. Variety with "HAH" and "CH" and four-dot-rosettes dividing legend. The graffiti is a very light "X" scratched between "MACE" and "AND" on the dragon side. A sharp example that exhibits very light wear, but has been slightly brightened from an old cleaning.

Although the Illustrated Catalogue of Chinese Gold & Silver Coins shows a Kiangnan 1904 Dollar, for some reason they omitted this variety with the rosettes instead of dots. We have sold at least nine of this variety, so we don't think it is rarer than the others.

Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
