CHINA. Kweichow. Auto Dollar, Year 17 (1928). PCGS AU-50 Gold Shield.
L&M-609; K-757; KM-Y-428; WS-1109. Variety with two grass blades. Always an immensely popular type, this particular example exhibits a needle sharp strike with a minimum of field marks. It is graced with unbroken gray toning and original surfaces that belie the great care that has been taken to keep it safe from harm for many years. While not the highest grade seen in recent times, it does rate quite respectably and, given the number of lesser, details graded examples on the market, is definitely worth a strong bid.

Minted to commemorate the completion of the Kweichow (Guizhou) Provincial Highway and reportedly features Governor Zhou Xicheng's personal automobile.

Estimate: $50000.00- $70000.00
