This 50 Taels note is a very large vertical format showing the common for the series bordering design. Dragons are seen at left, right and top with turbulent ocean below. Large square stamped seals seen at center, left, and right. Bold ink stands out, with stamping seen on the reverse. PMG's pop report states they have encapsulated just 8 of this variety. PMG comments "Minor Repairs, Spindle Holes."
