Trial proof of this 1999 100 Yuan note. Seldom encountered as these do not often trade hands. Mao watermark seen at left, with portrait vignette at right. A few variations between the issued note and this trial proof are noticed, most noticeably the colorful guilloche at left of center is missing, along with "100" denomination that should be above it. Green "100" found at lower left corner on issued note is seen embossed on this trial proof, but without color. The reverse is seen missing the building vignette, along with the denominations at top left and right, and bottom left corner. Mounting remnants seen on reverse. PCGS GSG comments "Hinged, Ink Annotation."
