Lykian League, Pinara AR Drachm. Circa 167-100 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right; [bow and quiver over shoulder] / Kithara within incuse square; ΛΥΚΙΩΝ above, Π-Ι across fields. Troxell, Lycian 7 (unlisted rev. die, cf. Xanthos 5.2 & Cadyandus 8.1 for same obv. die); SNG von Aulock 4380 (Patara); SNG Copenhagen -; Weber 7300. 2.38g, 15mm, 10h.

Very Fine; a little porous, old cabinet tone. Extremely Rare, Troxell knew of only two specimens from this mint.

Troxell (pg. 46) noted that "[t]he coins' one reverse die is a recut Xanthian one; one of their two obverse dies was shared by Cadyanda; and the coins probably were even struck at Xanthus." The current coin utilises an obverse die from both Cadyandus and Xanthos, coupled with a new reverse die, further proving Troxell's assertion.
