Victoria gold Sovereign 1898-M MS65 PCGS, Melbourne mint, KM13. The highest graded of this type by either NGC or PCGS - and an absolutely wonderful coin. The most attractive late Melbourne Sovereign the cataloguer has ever seen, the obverse exhibiting hints of blue, red, green and white tone above flashy luster, the reverse with a Prooflike reflectivity behind the perfectly rendered image of St. George. Truly an outlier for the type, and for the series as a whole.
