Victoria gold 1/2 Sovereign 1856 MS64 NGC, KM735.1, S-3859. An absolutely gorgeous Half Sovereign, its brightness immediately captivating; somewhere between satin and reflective luster, the fields positively beaming with the devices slightly frosted in contrast. Hints of deep orange tone gleam subtly in the recesses, only a scattering of minor marks preventing this piece from entering an even higher grade level. Some slight double striking is evident in the legend under magnification but provides no visual detriment whatsoever.
