Guatemala (State), provisional 1 real, 1829M, very rare, NGC AU 50, ex-Brand/Norweb (stated on label). KM-75. For this year only, and only in this denomination, the Guatemala City mint struck coins with the legend ESTADO DE GUATEMALA on one side and MONEDA PROVISIONAL on the other with the same central design as the Central American Republic issues, making for a very rare, single-denomination type-coin that is critical to any important Guatemala collection. This rather presentable and highly pedigreed example shows full details and light luster with just a slight central bulge on reverse and two faint adjustment marks on obverse, currently third finest in the NGC census among eighteen entries that surely represent several re-grades (considering that KM states "4 known").
