Buenos Aires, Argentina, silver medal, no date (1871), to Servants of Humanity during the Buenos Aires yellow fever epidemic in early 1871. Cunietti-p. 269. 10.96 grams, 27mm. Obverse with wreathed oval containing the arms of Buenos Aires (two ships at sea under a radiant, downward-flying dove), all within legend LA MUNICIPALIDAD DE LA CIUDAD DE BUENOS AIRES; reverse with A LOS / SERVIDORES / DE LA / HUMANIDAD within wreath, engraver's initials R.G. (Rosario Grande) below. Lustrous AU- with lovely toning including some teal and magenta, tiny loop at top (as made), a few small rim-bumps.
