USA (Philadelphia mint), Texas commemorative half dollar, 1934, ANACS MS 64. First issued in 1934 and continuing through 1938, the Texas Centennial commemorative half dollar had a total mintage of around 304,000 coins. Of those, 205,113 were struck in the first year of 1934, but 61,463 of those were unsold and eventually melted down by the Treasury Department. Brilliant, original surfaces with faint golden toning.
