United Colonies, Continental Congress, $2, May 10, 1775, serial 45296, PMG Choice AU 58 EPQ Star, finest known in PMG census. FR-CC-2. This early Revolutionary War note is from the first date of issuance of Continental Currency; it entitles the bearer to receive "TWO SPANISH MILLED DOLLARS." Exceptional paper quality and printing with a bold and well centered design, two clear inked signatures, very deserving of both the EPQ and Star designations. Of the 21 examples graded by PMG, this is by far the finest seen with the next highest being an AU 55 EPQ. PMG #1958053-001.
