Pair of Mexico City, Mexico, cob 4 reales, Philip V, assayer J, ex-1715 Fleet, ex-Real Eight (Wagner), mounted in silver cufflinks (one with cross-side out, the other with shield-side out). 36.14 grams total. Solid coins with virtually no corrosion, nicely toned, the one with shield side out displaying a clear oMJ, each coin held by a four-corner strap of silver soldered to a hinge holding a single-link bar, desirable as mounted in the Real Eight days with original Wagner certificate. From the 1715 Fleet, with original Real Eight Co. certificate hand-signed by Kip Wagner.
