Iron cannon pin-ring from the San Jose site of the 1733 Fleet. 516 grams, 9'1/2 long pin, 3-3/4" diameter ring. Cannons in carriages on board ships were tied to the bulkhead by means of pin-rings like this one to prevent them from rolling all over the deck, this specimen somewhat rusty and unconserved but completely intact and serviceable.
