Intact wooden belaying pin, ex-Serica (1893). 177 grams, 15" long, 1-/2" diameter at thickest. Shaped like a billy club (or a dagger with rod instead of blade), this well-preserved object was used to fasten ropes temporarily on board ships, its surface smooth and clean with bits of lacquer near the turned areas and a few small wormholes, a rare artifact from this wreck. From the Serica (1893), with certificate and printed history of the wreck.
