Venice (Italian States), gold zecchino, Alvise Mocenigo (1763-1778). KM-671. 3.44 grams. Nearly fully detailed despite voids near edge (damaged) and tiny hole (probably being worn as jewelry on board the ship), full name of doge (ALOY.MOCEN.), with light reddish encrustation around details, very rare type for shipwreck and rare provenance in general. With original (generic) certificate from the salvagers.Recovered from: Grosvenor, sunk in 1782 off South Africa
