Bogota, Colombia, 8 reales, 1820JF, mule with REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA on obverse and NUEVA GRANADA on reverse, very rare, PCGS F detail / rim damage, Restrepo Plate Coin (stated on label). Restrepo-156.1; KM-D7. Typically weak centers but bold legends that indicate this coin was struck using an obverse die from the first Republic and a reverse die from the United Provinces of New Granada, contrastingly toned, with divots and edge gouge between L and O of COLOMBIA, desirable pedigree. PCGS #39227527. Pedigreed to the Nueva Granada Collection (stated on label), and Plate Coin on page 152 of Restrepo's Coins of Colombia (2012).
