In 2016 Guillaume Sarah, Vincent Geneviève and Catherine Guerrot published a lengthy study of the 19th century Auzeville hoard in the Revue numismatique. This important hoard consisted exclusively of coins of Toulouse, minted for the most part by Charles the Bald and Pippin II of Aquitaine. Their exemplary study discussed the original size of the hoard and analysed its composition, including the silver content of many of the coins. This coin features in the article as no. 41. [S. Coupland]
