Obv: Slow quadriga driven r. by male charioteer holding goad; above, Nike flying r. to crown horses. Rx: Laureate head of Apollo l., KA[TAN]AION before, bay leaf with berry behind. Reverse die by the Master of the Bay Leaf. Ex Gemini II, 10 January 2006, lot 23.While researching other coins in our library and going through auctions from 1910-1940, I found only three examples of this coin. Recently a few have entered the market, but it is quite rare and highly desirable. Obverse struck with worn die. VF
