ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, his feet resting on a foot stool, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, rose; below throne and to right, ΔΙ - Ο. The tetradrachms in the name of Alexander struck in Memphis by Ptolemy c. 323-316 have long been viewed as being of the finest style of the entire series.
