KINGS OF MACEDON. Perseus, 179-168 BC. (Bronze, 23 mm, 7.74 g, 3 h), Pella or Amphipolis. Helmeted head of the hero Perseus to right with harpa over his left shoulder. Rev. B A Eagle with spear wings, standing to left on plough, with head to right; to left, monogram of ΠEP. SNG Alpha Bank 1146. SNG München 1219. Very rare with a plow instead of a thunderbolt on the reverse. Nicely patinated and clear. Very fine.
