EUBOIA. Histiaia. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 2.32 g, 11 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, wearing a drop earring, a pearl necklace and with her hair rolled and bound with a wreath of leaves and berries. Rev. ΙΣΤΙ - ΑΙΕΩΝ (partially retrograde) Nymph seated right on stern of galley, holding stylis in her left hand and resting her right on the deck; on the side of the stern, wing; below, trident to left, M and [monogram]. BCD Euboia 394. HGC 4, 1524. Attractive, fresh and clear. Obverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
