IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 30.5 mm, 12.58 g, 1 h), year K = 20 of Attalos II = 140-139. Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; above, K; to left, EΦΕ; to right, draped bust of Artemis to right with quiver over her shoulder. BMC 145. DCA 317 (same dies). Kleiner & Noe Series 33 (obverse die 44). SNG von Aulock 7833. Toned and sharply struck on a broad flan. Extremely fine.
