LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 16.5 mm, 2.72 g, 1 h). Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysos to left. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, cross-torch. HN III 1683. Johnston, Bronze, 47. SNG ANS 593. Attractive brown patina. Flan crack at 6h, otherwise, good very fine.
