CILICIA. Soloi-Pompeiopolis. Time of Pompey the Great or later, Circa 66-27 BC. (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.97 g). Bare head of Pompey the Great right (but possibly with the features of Antony). Rev. ΠΟΜΠΗΙΟΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ Nike advancing right, holding palm in left hand and wreath in right; to right, two monograms. SNG Levante 880- 882 var (monograms). SNG Paris 1214-1217 var (monograms). With an interesting portrait of Pompey, which looks very much like those of Antony struck during the mid 30s BC. Good very fine.
