Syria. Antioch. Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Dupondius (Bronze, 25 mm, 19.71 g, 12 h), circa 5-12. IMP AVGVST TR POT Laureate head of Augustus to right. Rev. S C in wreath tied at the bottom. McAlee 208b. RPC 4264. An attractive piece with a powerful portrait and a dark, green-black patina. Reverse double-struck, otherwise, good very fine.
