Plated (?) nomos circa 380-350, AR 22 mm, 6.18 g. Head of Hera Lacinia facing three-quarters r., wearing stephane decorated with palmette flanked by two griffins; in r. field, Δ. Rev. KROTΩ Heracles seated l. on rock covered with lion's skin, holding cup in extended r. hand; above, club and bow. In l. field, tripod and in center field, MΔ. SNG Copenhagen 1800 (this reverse die). A very interesting and extremely rare plated nomos. A lovely portrait of fine style
struck on a very broad flan, lovely old cabinet tone and good very fineδδδδδδFrom a European collection and privately purchased in 1980.
