Greek Coins. Syracuse
Tetradrachm unsigned by Sosion circa 415-410, AR 28 mm, 16.76 g. Fast quadriga driven l. by charioteer, holding kentron and reins; above Nike flying r., to crown the driver with an open wreath. Rev. ΣYPAKO[ΣIΩN] Head of Arethusa l. with thickly waved hair caught up at nape of neck in serpentine waves, wearing necklace, earring and ampyx. Around, four dolphins. McClean 2703 (these dies).
