CELTIC, Middle Danube. Eravisci. Mid to late 1st century BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.26 g, 11 h), imitating Rome. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Victory driving fast biga to left, holding reins in her right hand and wreath in her left; below, X. Rare and nicely toned. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, very fine.

The obverse of this interesting issue may have been influenced by the anonymous denarius with Apollo on the obverse struck in 86 BC (Crawford 350A/2).
