SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 15.79 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, 109-96. Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIOXOY - EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus seated left, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram of PE above A; below throne, monogram; all within laurel wreath. SC 2309.1b. Some minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
