BRUTTIUM. The Brettii. Circa 214-211 BC. AE (Bronze, 25 mm, 15.35 g, 2 h). Head of Ares to left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a griffin on the bowl; behind, two pellets. Rev. BPETTIΩN Nike standing left, holding palm frond in her left hand and placing wreath on trophy with her right; between Nike and trophy, hook. HN Italy 1975. SNG ANS 41. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
