SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. AE (Bronze, 23 mm, 9.39 g, 9 h). Diademed head of Poseidon to left. Rev. IEP-ΩNOΣ Ornate trident head flanked by two dolphins; to lower left, O. CNS 195 Rl 16. HGC 2, 1550. SNG ANS -. A lovely piece with a fine head of Poseidon. The reverse a bit rough, otherwise, about extremely fine.
