His radiate and cuirassed bust right, drapery over his far shoulder; IMP PROBVS P F AVG / Trophy (breastplate, two shields and two spears), at its foot, two captives seated to either side, hands tied behind their backs; VICTORIA GERM around, R (thunderbolt) A in exergue. RIC V.2 220. Extremely Fine; glossy black patina, fine style dies, devices highlighted by golden hued silvering; perfectly centered and sharply struck on an extremely broad flan. This is a superb example. No example of comparable quality shows up in market records we surveyed back through 2005.
