His helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globus cruciger and shield; cross to right; D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVC / Large M; cross above, ANNO to left, XII (date) to right, B below, CON in exergue. SB 163. Very Fine; dark green and brown patina; well centered on a dramatically large outsized flan. Dramatic and affordable large module coin.

Comes with collection envelope from the 1930s. This follis reflects what was available to a collector with a good eye nearly a hundred years ago; it has a notably different feeling than most of what is on the market now.
