Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ As (24mm, 10.28 g, 6h). Struck AD 194. Laureate head right / Hercules, on left, standing facing, head left, holding club and lion skin, and Bacchus, on right, standing facing, head left, holding oenochoe over panther and thyrsus. RIC IV 666. Dark green and black patina with traces of red, some light smoothing. Good VF. Attractive. Rare.
